Champagne and Cigarettes By the Windowsill.
This picture is almost like a social commentary on the poor-rich divide, and how the only thing that separates us is money. In a poor council scheme, the disillusioned or addicted would still indulge in the same habits. The difference is only in the bottle and brand of cigarettes smoked. For instance, in a Glasgow council estate, if a tenant was lucky enough to have a balcony/windowsill, you would see rolled-up cigarettes in the ashtray and a bottle of Buckfast.
The message given is still the same, we all have our vices, and it doesn’t matter what the label on the bottle says, the end effect is the same; to get wasted.
Life…fucks everyone, no matter how much money one has.
